TOPFEEL has released the DeskOne W2, a compact mini PC built inside an all aluminum chassis measuring 245 by 249 by 120 millimeters. The system relies on a desktop FCLGA1700 socket to run standard 12th, 13th, and 14th generation Intel processors alongside a dedicated graphics card. It hits the market alongside the larger DeskOne A1 to offer desktop level expansion in a small workstation footprint.
The motherboard uses an FCLGA1700 socket to accept standard Intel desktop chips instead of low power mobile silicon. To save board space for graphics hardware, the board features 2 DDR4 3200 SO DIMM slots rather than full size memory slots. This layout leaves clearance for 1 PCIe Gen4 x16 slot. The expansion slot accepts dedicated graphics cards measuring up to 245 millimeters in length and 45 millimeters in width.
Storage configurations focus on 4 M.2 solid state drive slots combined with dual drive bays. 3 of the M.2 connectors run at PCIe Gen4 x4 bandwidth while 1 operates at Gen4 x2. Users can install 2 separate 2.5 inch SATA drives for bulk storage. Wired networking runs through 2 RJ 45 ethernet ports providing 2.5GbE transfer speeds, with an additional open M.2 slot reserved for an internal wireless card.
Power delivery comes from an internal 650W TFX Gold certified power supply, eliminating the clutter of an external adapter. Cooling hardware centers on a central processor heatsink featuring 6 copper heat pipes and a single 12025 fan. Thermal control is supported by 2 secondary 9015 exhaust fans that push hot air through the chassis vents during sustained workloads.
