Honor has launched the global edition of the Magic 9 Pro Max, expanding its flagship lineup to international buyers outside mainland China. The handset features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, dual 200 MP rear cameras, and an 8000 mAh battery with 80W wireless charging. Pre orders are now open in Hong Kong starting at $1402, though the international variant reduces battery capacity by 800 mAh compared to the Chinese model.
The front display uses a 6.8 inch OLED panel running at a resolution of 1320x2868 pixels with dynamic 120 Hz refresh rates. Screen brightness reaches peak levels of 10000 nits for outdoor legibility. System operations run on MagicOS 11 built on Android 17. The software introduces native high speed file transfers to Apple iPhones using AirDrop protocol compatibility alongside artificial intelligence security tools and a physical quick access button for opening the camera.
The rear camera block incorporates 3 distinct sensors. The primary camera captures at 200 MP, supported by a secondary 200 MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and up to 200x digital zoom. A 50 MP ultrawide sensor with a 122 degree field of view covers landscape and macro shots. On the front display, a cut out section contains a 55 MP selfie camera alongside a secondary depth sensor for portrait mapping and facial recognition.
Energy comes from an 8000 mAh battery supporting 100W wired fast charging and 80W wireless SuperCharge. Buyers can choose between green, silver, and black finishes across 2 storage tiers. The 12GB RAM version with 512GB of internal storage costs $1402. The premium tier with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage is priced at $1912.
