The company has roundly circled June 11th on its calendar for its grand reveal event of the next upcoming flagship Pura 80 series smartphones. And to tingle the air some more, they have also left a little teaser hinting what's to come.
Along with the announcement of the date, HUAWEI shared an official image showing a camera module of one of the forthcoming models in the Pura 80 lineup. And most interestingly, the teaser has the lenses being laid side by side, instead of being arranged in the so-called 'wells' or islands that one might have expected to be seen in some preliminary leaks, particularly the one rumored for the Ultra version. This leads us to think that this could be a design for the normal HUAWEI Pura 80 or perhaps the Pura 80 Pro. It seems like HUAWEI is actually hiding some design surprises under its sleeves.
Thus far, the company has not shared the particular models in the flesh, so the teaser is actually the first official peek at probably a unique look of some of the Pura 80 family members.
As for the nitty-gritty specifics, that part remain unrevealed, but the rumor factory has been working hard. Current whispers are around the idea that all three smartphones in the Pura 80 line will follow the precedent set by their predecessors regarding display size. One of the better rumors floating around-the strongest speculation-takes us toward the ultimate Pura 80 Ultra model. As rumor has it, this camera would be equipped with an ample, "inch-sized" main sensor, something that could bring about a great leap in photo quality.
We'll just have to wait until June 11th for the complete picture but one thing's for sure the HUAWEI Pura 80 series is going to be quite a big launch.
