LG Makes OLED UltraGear Line Bigger with New 34, 45, and 39-Inch '900A' Models

LG has made its OLED game screen range bigger with a low-key launch of three new types: the UltraGear OLED 34GX900A, 45GX900A, and 39GX900A. These screens are made with LG's 240Hz Gen 2 WOLED panels and aim to fit right in the middle of the existing range, mainly by adding strong USB-C links and better sound.

LG UltraGear OLED 34GX900A

The 34GX900A is a fresh 34-inch wide screen option that improves on the base of the UltraGear OLED 34GS95QE. It uses the same Gen 2 WOLED panel with a 1440p base sharpness, 21:9 sight scale, 240Hz refresh pace, and 0.03ms GtG response time.

Key updates and traits include:

  • Better Links: Puts in a USB-C slot with 65W Power Give and DisplayPort Alt Mode, taking the spot of the USB-B slot found on the 34GS95QE.
  • Better Sound: Adds twin 7W stereo speakers, a step up from past models.
  • Slot Choice: Has 1 x DisplayPort 1.4, 2 x HDMI 2.1, 2 x USB 3.0 Type-A, and a 3.5mm sound jack.

The UltraGear OLED 34GX900A is now up for sale in the US for $1,299 and in Hong Kong for HK$8,280 (~$1,049).

LG UltraGear OLED 45GX900A

For folks who want a bigger screen, LG rolled out the 45-inch UltraGear OLED 45GX900A. This model also uses a Gen 2 WOLED panel with a 1440p sharpness and a 240Hz refresh pace, setting it as a more trait-rich pick over the older 45GS95QE but under the higher-sharpness 5K2K 45GX950A.

Its main wins over the 45GS95QE are:

  • A USB-C slot that gives 65W charging.
  • Built-in twin 7W speakers.

The screen is up for grabs in many markets, priced at $1,699 in the US, HK$12,980 (~$1,654) in Hong Kong, and CA$1,799 (~$1,299) in Canada.

LG UltraGear OLED 39GX900A

The new 39-inch UltraGear OLED 39GX900A fits well between the current 39GS95QE and the webOS-ready 39GX90SA. It offers the same 39-inch Gen 2 WOLED panel with an 800R curve, 1440p sharpness, 240Hz refresh pace, and 1,300 nits peak HDR light.

The traits of the 39GX900A are:

  • It gets a 65W USB-C slot and twin 7W speakers, which the 39GS95QE does not have.
  • It leaves out the Gigabit Ethernet slot and webOS 24 mix found on the 39GX90SA.

This model is on sale in Canada for CA$1,599 (~$1,149) and Hong Kong for HK$10,980 (~$1,400), with a hinted US price of $1,237.
