Ninja Gaiden 4 Game Play Shown in Long Video, Team Ninja and PlatinumGames Team Up Shown in Detail
A full hour of fresh, full game play for Ninja Gaiden 4 has been put out by YouTuber GamersPrey, giving a deep look at the game series' big come back. This show is big news for fans since the last game, Ninja Gaiden 3, got so-so reviews and came out in 2012.
A 'Dream Team Up' Between Team Ninja and PlatinumGames
The new game is made by both the old series maker, Team Ninja, and PlatinumGames, a group known for top action games like the Bayonetta series and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
In a talk on the Iron Lords Podcast, Game Boss Masakazu Hirayama of Team Ninja shared how this team up began:
Well, for Team Ninja, Ninja Gaiden is a key game, so we have long wanted to make a new Ninja Gaiden game. First, the heads of our group, Mr. Ono from Team Ninja, and Mr. Inaba from PlatinumGames, who are from the same age group and have kept in touch, talked about if the two groups could make something new. Seeing PlatinumGames’ strong work on action games like Nier and Bayonetta, which we hold in high regard, we thought it would be a good test to join up for a new Ninja Gaiden game. Also, as you said, with help from Phil Spencer at Xbox, the project was able to start with a three-way team up.
