Star Core Super AI Computer with AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 Appears on Xiaomi Youpin
Xiaomi's Youpin site shows a new 'Star Core Super AI Computer' with a top AMD chip. This small PC got its name "Star Core Super AI Computer" and is up on Xiaomi's Youpin site to fund money. It is set up with the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, the top chip from the Strix Halo group, and comes with a big 128 GB of RAM.
Main Parts and How Fast It Is
This small PC does big work well, like AI stuff and games. Its main parts are:
- Chip: AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 (Strix Halo).
- RAM: 128 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. A big 96 GB of this can be used as VRAM for the built-in GPU to make AI work better.
- Store space: 2 TB of space, with two spots for SSDs that use PCIe 4.0.
- Built-in Video: Radeon 8060S iGPU, said to be as good as a laptop NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU.
- Mode for more power: A 120 W mode is there for big jobs.
Who Made It, Its Look, and How to Connect
It's worth noting that Xiaomi did not make it itself. A Chinese firm called "Linglong" did. The look of the box is much like others, such as the LCFC H02 and the Corsair AI Workstation 300.
Plugs and Ways to Connect
This system has all kinds of plugs and new ways to link up:
- USB: Two USB 2.0 Type-A, three USB 3.2 Type-A, and two USB4 plugs.
- Screen: One HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort 1.4.
- Web: One 2.5G Ethernet plug, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.
- Sound: A 3.5 mm sound jack.
Cost and When You Can Buy It
The first price to fund it on Youpin is CNY 13,999 (about $1,999). After that, it will go up to CNY 15,999 (around $2,249).
It looks like this Linglong-made PC won't be sold all over the world. Yet, some other small PCs with the same Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip, like the Corsair AI Workstation 300 and Colorful Smart 900, are already for sale everywhere.
