TECNO To Launch a Slim POVA 5G On September 4

Besides bragging about its thinness, TECNO has also set the date to unveil its highly anticipated smartphone, the POVA Slim 5G. An official teaser mentioned that the device will be presented within the confines of this week on September 4, 2025.

The 'Thinest Smartphone' Measure and Exclusiveness

This device is marketed under the slogan "the slimmest smartphone in the world." But, TECNO has included a very important disclaimer this only applies to those smartphone models having a "3D screen" (contoured on the sides) and are capable of handling 5G connectivity. Also, in the teaser, a notice is stipulating that the gadget will be available exclusively from the Indian online store Flipkart.

Speculative Specifications According to MWC Concept

The official specifications may not be on the verge of release, but the POVA Slim 5G could quite possibly be the actual commercial model inspired by the SPARK Slim concept model which was displayed by TECNO at MWC 2025. This is what that concept device had:

  • A thickness of 5.75 mm.
  • A battery capacity of 5200 mAh.
  • A 144Hz screen refresh rate.
  • An interactive lighting system in the camera block.

For reference, this thickness is still less than that of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge at 5.84 mm, while the rumored thickness of the iPhone 17 Air is said to be 5.5 mm.

Launch and Price

The final retail launch date or pricing of the TECNO POVA Slim 5G has not yet been disclosed by the manufacturer.
