ZOTAC Launches APOCALYPSE RTX 50 Series in North America
The North American launch of ZOTAC's APOCALYPSE RTX 50 series GPUs is officially underway. ZOTAC has officially released its APOCALYPSE GPU lineup outside of China, now showing up at the North American retailer Newegg with two models from the GeForce RTX 50 series. Previously, regional cards add a character-themed design to the market but also factory overclocking.
Pricing and Availability
ZOTAC Gaming RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 APOCALYPSE OC are listed for and currently available at Newegg and the official ZOTAC online store. The price is somewhat higher than the base model MSRPs:
- ZOTAC Gaming RTX 5070 Ti APOCALYPSE OC $849 ($100 above base MSRP)
- ZOTAC Gaming RTX 5080 APOCALYPSE OC $1,249 ($250 above base MSRP)
Design, Lighting, and Build
APOCALYPSE has an "Apocalypse Girl" character theme with an aggressive triple-fan design defined by geometric lines and angular contours. Notable features in terms of aesthetics:
- Unique Lighting The middle fan has a neon-bright "Ring Of Fire" effect featuring "Mirror-Like Pulse" lighting, adjustable via ZOTAC's Spectra 2.0 ARGB software. Other two fans do not have RGB lighting.
- Sturdy Construction Cards are built upon a solid metal frame complemented by an open-air metal backplate, which is white-accented, further enhancing the airflow.
Coolers and Factory Overclocks
The GPUs function using ZOTAC's IceStorm 3.0 advanced cooling. This includes BladeLink Fans and a FREEZE Fan Stop feature, stopping the fans in idle or low-load situations to minimize noise. In addition, the cards bear some hefty factory overclocks to boost performances:
- The RTX 5080 APOCALYPSE OC will boost at a clock rate of 2730 MHz, which is 113 MHz faster than the reference edition.
- The RTX 5070 Ti APOCALYPSE OC is 120 MHz higher than the one it is based upon.
The arrival of these APOCALYPSE GPUs in North America might signal future availability in other regions perhaps.
