Bungie has at last announced the date on which its next multiplayer extraction shooter, Marathon, is scheduled to launch. A fresh trailer for its gameplay confirmed that the title would be released on March 5, 2026. This sequel to the classic first-person shooter trilogy of the 90s is moving ahead, in spite of doubts earlier this year in the project's status.
Now Available to Preorder
With the announcement, Marathon preorders have also been launched on the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store, and Steam. Rapidly, the game finds itself among the top ten best-selling titles on Steam, showing an impressive initial response from the players.
Available Editions and Pricing
Players can opt for any of these forms to purchase the game:
- Standard Edition: It is available for $40.
- Deluxe Edition: Priced at $60, this version comprises additional cosmetic items and bonus in-game currency.
- Collector's Edition: This is the physical version on sale at Bungie's website. It costs $230 with the game and $170 without it. Physical items included in the package consist of cards, patches, and a 1:6 scale Thief statue.
