Asus Releases ProArt Keyboard KD300 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard

Asus has introduced the ProArt Keyboard KD300, which serves as a 65% wireless keyboard for both productivity tasks and creative work. The device was first introduced to the public earlier this year, featuring a low profile design that matches the premium aesthetic of the ProArt product range.

The KD300 maintains a slim profile with a housing thickness of 26.8 mm. The product offers multiple advanced features despite its small dimensions.

The keyboard utilizes Asus RX Red Low Profile optical switches, which have a 1.0 mm actuation point and 55 g feedback force. The keyboard includes built in silicone dampening layers, which help to reduce both typing sounds and acoustic reflections. The product provides users with two different tilt settings, which they can adjust to find their most comfortable position.

The keyboard provides users with three different connectivity options, which include Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless, and standard wired USB connection. The device can remember and connect to five different devices at the same time.

The KD300 features a touch panel, which users can find located at the back of the device. Users gain the ability to change lighting effects and control media playback through direct access to these functions. Users who want to create custom controls can do so by using the Asus Gear Link software.

The ProArt Keyboard KD300 can operate for 16 months on a single charge according to Asus, which tested the keyboard under regular usage conditions.

The keyboard is currently priced at CNY 999 (approximately $145) in the Chinese market. International availability has been confirmed by Asus for future distribution; however, the company has not yet disclosed specific pricing or release dates for different regions.
