The monitor uses an IPS panel that measures 27 inches and displays content at native 4K resolution which operates at 160 Hz for its standard refresh rate. Digital media professionals can use the display which provides 95 percent of the P3 color gamut with a brightness level of 450 cd per square meter. The display has a 1080p mode which enables users to boost refresh rates up to 320 Hz for better competitive gaming performance. The hardware allows users to switch between high fidelity creative work and fast paced gaming without needing an extra display.

The Sound Edition designation refers to the comprehensive five speaker array built directly into the chassis. The audio system consists of two full range speakers which have 5 watt power capacity and two tweeters which operate at 3 watt power capacity together with a 5 watt subwoofer for enhanced bass reproduction. Modern connectivity solutions now include a USB Type C port which enables users to transfer 100 watts of power through the connection.

The monitor can charge a connected laptop through its high power output while it receives video signals from the laptop. The system provides two HDMI 2.1 inputs and one DisplayPort 1.4 connection to enable users to connect multiple high resolution devices.

HUAWEI has established its pricing system to meet the different budget needs of customers who have different audio requirements. The flagship Sound Edition with 4K resolution is priced at 377 dollars while a standard version without the speaker system retails for 290 dollars. For customers seeking a more affordable entry point the manufacturer provides a 1440p resolution variant. The 1440p model costs 217 dollars with the built in audio system or 159 dollars for the basic monitor. The MateView line design aesthetic remains consistent across all versions which offer various performance capabilities throughout the 2026 calendar year.
