Seasonic Unveils 5200 Watt Industrial Power Supply and Prime Enterprise Solutions Alongside Mainstream Vertex and Focus PSU Refresh
Seasonic has unveiled its planned hardware for the next Computex show, with the main attraction being the immense 5200 Watt power supply unit intended for demanding industrial tasks. The company states that the new power supply can achieve 96.5% efficiency under load, as stated in the official Seasonic press release, the new hardware is primarily targeted to be placed in enterprise servers, artificial intelligence and deep learning clusters.
The 5200 Watt power supply is equipped with an 80 Plus Ruby certification, the highest achievable level of efficiency in an industrial power distribution unit currently available. The PSU is designed to continue powering systems even with multiple graphics accelerators operating at the same time without failure of the power delivery. In addition to the main enterprise power supply, Seasonic will also be showing its Prime Enterprise range targeted towards workstations and will include three new SKUs; TX 1600, PX 3200, and PX 1200 which have a voltage deviation tolerance of less than 0.5% with enhanced shielding against EMI.
Finally Seasonic is also refreshing its Vertex, Focus and Core PSU lines, these updated PSUs are now suitable for the newer generation of desktop components and will be including two native 12V 2x6 connectors in each unit in the Vertex range to allow users to power power hungry graphics cards without adapters. Furthermore Seasonic is also releasing a 1300 Watt Focus SGX PSU designed for small form factor PC builds which require large amounts of power. The consumer PSUs retain the build quality of the industrial ones with enhanced thermals and power delivery.
