Acer Unveils Expanded Hardware Lineup Including Swift Ultralights Aspire High Performance Desktops and TravelMate Flagship Business Systems for Windows 11 AI
Acer is set to unveil a significantly expanded consumer and commercial hardware line up consisting of thin and light consumer laptops, capable convertibles, All in One desktops, and rugged enterprise grade business machines. Announced as part of Acer's official corporate product launch, the Windows 11 machines come equipped with dedicated Neural Processing Units which can efficiently run local intelligence tasks and optimise performance across multiple applications.
Swift Series Ultralight and Convertible Designs
The mobile first contender in Acer's premium range is the Acer Swift Air 14 SFA14 I31, powered by the latest Intel Core Series 3 processors that can reach 40 platform TOPS and feature an NPU with up to 17 TOPS. It's contained within a lightweight 1.19kg all aluminum chassis and is a slim 12.9mm at its thickest, all while the 180 degree hinge lets the 14 inch WUXGA 120Hz display lay perfectly flat. Also in the specification list is a 50% charged in 30 minutes battery that can last up to 19 hours, 1080p IR camera with a physical privacy shutter, Wi Fi 6E and dual Thunderbolt 4 Type C ports.
Switching up the form factor, the Acer Swift Spin 14 AI SFSP14 I51T employs a 360 degree hinge to flip through four usable modes on the same 14 inch WUXGA IPS touch display. Up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H is available and the device can handle 50 NPU TOPS with up to 100 platform TOPS for intensive multitasking tasks. Designed with durability in mind, the aluminum chassis has been MIL STD 810H certified for military specification and the display can be used with the optional Acer Active Stylus with Wacom AES 2.0 and 4096 pressure points. A full day is possible with a battery life of up to 26 hours and it has fast charge capabilities up to 100 Watts, connectivity includes Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, HDMI 2.1, and dual Thunderbolt 4 ports.
The Aspire Lineup High Performance Laptops and All in One Desktops
Creative professionals who would prefer a larger canvas can look to the Aspire X 16 AI AX16 I71M laptop which comes packed with Intel Core Ultra X9 processors for up to 180 platform TOPS, bundled with Intel Arc graphics and kept cool by the dual fan Vortex Flow cooling system. This machine features a large 16 inch 3K OLED display running at a 120Hz refresh rate and also covers 100% DCI P3, it also weighs a measly 1.6kg while maintaining a thickness of 15.9mm and offers up to 24 hours battery life while being connected via Killer Wi Fi 6E and dual Thunderbolt 4 ports. The range can be purchased with either AMD or Intel processors. The AMD models run AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series processors (based on Zen 5 architecture) alongside Radeon 880M graphics, while Intel processors for the machines consist of Intel Core Ultra Series 3 with Intel Graphics. The thin bezel FHD displays on both sizes run up to 144Hz and there is an integrated pop up 5MP IR webcam. Connectivity comes from Wi Fi 6E and the desktops come with an integrated AcerSense utility.
TravelMate Flagship Business Systems and SMB Clamshells
A premium commercial Copilot plus PC, the TravelMate P6 14 AI is a business workstation aimed at enterprises, with a lightweight 1kg Carbon Fiber and Magnesium Aluminum chassis and housed with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors which support Intel vPro capabilities. This high end device has an excellent 71Wh fast charging battery capable of lasting up to 30 hours and has been secured using the threat detection built into Intel vPro, the devices have been certified as a Secured core PC and employ ProShield Plus encryption. A 14 inch display protected by anti reflective Corning Gorilla Matte Pro glass offers 100% DCI P3 cover, but there is also an optional 2.8K OLED panel, which is paired with Variable Refresh Rate functionality.
The business 2 in 1 convertible offering in the latest product lineup is the TravelMate P2 Spin 14. This features a 14 inch WUXGA 16:10 touch display which is able to flip around via a 360 degree hinge, it includes a Wacom AES 2.0 stylus built in and also a dual camera system which allows for an extra 5MP world facing camera.
