AAEON has launched the MIX PTLWV1, a compact Mini ITX motherboard powered by Intel 3rd Gen Core Ultra Panther Lake processors. The industrial board supports up to 4 high speed network ports and runs on wide range DC power for edge computing. It also offers flexible expansion with PCIe Gen5 speeds and quad DisplayPort outputs.
The motherboard is built for heavy automation and smart infrastructure tasks. AAEON equipped the board with 2 DDR5 CSO DIMM memory slots for high throughput system memory. Expansion relies on 1 PCIe slot that can reach PCIe Gen5 x8 speeds depending on your chosen processor SKU. For high speed storage, there is 1 M.2 2280 M Key slot designed for solid state drives. Wireless add in cards fit directly into a separate M.2 2230 E Key slot.
Network flexibility is the central focus of this new Mini ITX design. The standard board includes 2 2.5GbE RJ 45 ports, but buyers can configure the system with 2 optional 10GbE ports for demanding bandwidth requirements. An integrated cellular module slot allows deployment in remote field locations where physical ethernet wiring is unavailable. Rear connectivity provides 4 USB 5Gbps ports, while internal headers support 2 additional USB 5Gbps connections.
Industrial machinery often requires legacy serial connections, and AAEON accounts for that requirement. The board features 1 RS 232, RS 422, or RS 485 header alongside 4 dedicated RS 232 serial headers. It also includes 1 8 pin GPIO interface for direct machine control. Display options are extensive, offering 4 DisplayPort signal paths as well as onboard LVDS and eDP pinouts for embedded touch screens.
Power delivery uses a flexible 12 to 24V DC input range. This wide voltage support ensures stability in manufacturing plants where electrical lines fluctuate. The combination of Intel Panther Lake silicon and extensive industrial interfaces makes the board a practical platform for factory automation, digital signage, and high performance edge AI processing.
