Fanatec has introduced the ClubSport F1 Racing System, a direct drive simulation bundle built for PlayStation consoles and PC. The hardware package combines an 18 Nm ClubSport DD+ wheel base with an upgraded ClubSport F1 V3 forged carbon steering wheel. The complete setup is scheduled to make its first public appearance at the Tokyo Game Show.
The bundle represents a direct upgrade over the older ClubSport Racing Wheel F1 package. At the center of the rig sits the ClubSport DD+ wheel base. Its direct drive motor generates 18 Nm of consistent holding torque. That provides immediate, heavy resistance during hard cornering without fading over long gaming sessions. Fanatec also included its FullForce technology, which translates physics engine telemetry into high frequency vibrations sent directly through the steering shaft.
The accompanying steering wheel is based on the ClubSport Formula V3 architecture but adds an exclusive Formula 1 finish and forged carbon accents. Fanatec made the rim slightly wider than the previous generation to provide a more natural hand position and reduce grip fatigue during endurance races. The wheel is designed for players who need deep in game adjustments without taking their hands off the rim.
Information delivery is handled by 15 RGB LEDs that display engine RPM and flag warnings in your peripheral vision. A 2.7 inch white OLED display sits right in the center to show gear selection, speed, and real time telemetry data. Input options are extensive. Drivers get 2 7 way FunkySwitches, rotary encoders, and 12 way multi position dials to adjust brake balance and traction control on the fly.
Shifting hardware comes preinstalled with the Podium Advanced Paddle Module. The upper and middle magnetic shifter paddles use forged carbon fiber plates for a sharp mechanical snap on every gear change. The lower analog clutch paddles are made from anodized black aluminum, allowing drivers to dial in dual clutch bite points for race starts.
The bundle works out of the box with PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Windows PCs. By packaging a high torque direct drive base with a premium forged carbon wheel, Fanatec gives sim racers an all in one solution ready for professional sim competition.
