Feiniu has released an Intel powered edition of its EVO4 PRO 4 bay 10Gbps NAS storage system. The refreshed hardware swaps in an Intel Core i5 13500H processor with hardware video decoding acceleration and networking speeds reaching 10Gbps. The unit is now available starting at 4,499 yuan (approx. $670 USD) for the base 8GB configuration.
The move from the earlier AMD Ryzen configuration brings an Intel Core i5 13500H processor with 12 cores and 16 threads. The system runs at a sustained 45W power target to maintain performance during heavy data transfers. For memory, the unit includes dual channel DDR4 slots that allow users to expand capacity up to 96GB. This gives homelab enthusiasts and small offices plenty of headroom for container virtualization.
Drive capacity is massive. The main chassis houses 4 hot swap bays that accept standard 2.5 or 3.5 inch SATA hard drives, handling individual drives up to 32TB. Inside the unit, 4 PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots support solid state drives up to 8TB each with RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 5 array modes. 1 of those slots comes preinstalled with a 128GB system drive for the operating system. Network connectivity is handled by dual ethernet ports, pairing 1 fast 10Gbps port with a 2.5Gbps backup port.
Video creators get specialized hardware acceleration through the Feiniu Intel Media Engine. The system offers native GPU encoding and decoding for standard formats like H264, HEVC, and VP9 Profile0 to Profile3, alongside professional codecs such as ProRes and APV 422 Pro. Pricing in China starts at 4499 yuan for the model with 8GB RAM and the 128GB system drive. Upgrading to 16GB of RAM moves the price to 4899 yuan, while the top tier 32GB model costs 5699 yuan.
