HUAWEI has officially launched the Pura X View in China featuring an unusually wide display and a massive 7000 mAh battery. Unlike earlier entries in the Pura X lineup that used folding screens, this device adopts a standard candybar build with a unique 16:9.5 screen proportion. Pricing begins at $894 for the base model.
The front of the phone is dominated by a 6.39 inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2232x1320 and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Its 16:9.5 aspect ratio creates a wider viewing area than standard phones. Screen borders measure just 1.05 mm on all sides, and peak panel brightness reaches 6500 nits with 2160 Hz high frequency PWM dimming to reduce eye strain.
The body measures only 6.68 mm thick and weighs 201 grams. Despite the slim profile, the chassis carries full IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against dust and high pressure water ingress. It feels solid in the hand while giving users extra screen width for reading and media playback.
HUAWEI packed a triple lens system on the back. The primary shooter uses a 200 MP RYYB sensor measuring 1/1.28 inch with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. This main lens is accompanied by a 50 MP telephoto camera providing 3.7x optical zoom. An 8 MP ultra wide camera covers a 112 degree field of view and doubles as a macro lens for close shots. The setup also includes a dedicated Red Maple color sensor designed to maintain realistic color tones across different lighting environments.
Under the hood, the device runs on a Kirin 9030S processor paired with a large vapor chamber to manage heat during long gaming sessions. It comes with 12 GB of RAM and runs HarmonyOS 7. Storage options include 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB.
Power comes from a 7000 mAh silicon anode battery. It supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone is priced at $894 for 256 GB of storage, $1043 for the 512 GB version, and $1266 for the top 1 TB configuration.
