UNIS Flash has introduced the E5300, a new enterprise solid state drive engineered for heavy data center workloads. The drive combines a domestic controller with SK Hynix 3D eTLC NAND flash to achieve sequential speeds up to 14GB per second across a PCIe Gen5 x4 interface. Capable of reaching capacities up to 30.72TB, the hardware is built to support a wide range of global and domestic server platforms.
Raw speed is the headline feature here. The drive reaches sequential transfer rates of 14GB per second and random throughput up to 3500K IOPS while complying with the NVMe 2.0 standard. Latency numbers stay very low. 4KB read latency remains under 8 microseconds, while write latency stays below 50 microseconds. UNIS Flash rates random performance consistency at greater than 98%.
Power consumption remains modest for a Gen5 drive. Average active draw stays below 25W, while idle states pull less than 6W. Reliability ratings hit an estimated mean time between failures of over 2,500,000 hours. The drive ships in standard enterprise form factors including U.2 alongside EDSFF E1.S and EDSFF E3.S sizes.
Broad hardware support separates this storage device from standard enterprise competitors. The drive works natively with x86 processors from Intel and AMD, as well as Chinese silicon platforms like Kunpeng, Hygon, Phytium, Zhaoxin, Loongson, and Sunway. It supports virtualized and cloud operating systems including Windows Server, Linux, VMware, KOS, UOS, Anolis OS, OpenEuler, BC Linux, and CtyunOS.
Security protocols are built directly into the storage controller. The drive handles multiple encryption standards, covering global protocols like AES, RSA, and SHA, alongside Chinese commercial cryptography algorithms such as SM2, SM3, and SM4. This extensive standard compliance ensures that cloud providers and private server operators can deploy the hardware across diverse security regulations without extra software overhead.
