Durabook has released the R12, a rugged tablet engineered for emergency response and demanding industrial field operations. The system pairs Intel Panther Lake processors with an optional Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada dedicated graphics card. Built inside a reinforced magnesium alloy chassis, the device provides field teams with workstation computing in severe operating conditions.
Durabook equips the R12 with Intel Panther Lake processors, offering options for the Core Ultra 7 366H, Ultra 7 356H, or Ultra 5 336H. Memory reaches up to 64GB of fast LPDDR5X 8533 RAM alongside a 256GB NVMe solid state drive. Graphics choices include standard integrated silicon or a dedicated Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada graphics card carrying 8GB of video memory for heavy visual computing.
The 12.2 inch display outputs a resolution of 1920 by 1200 and hits 1200 nits of peak brightness for outdoor readability, with active stylus pen input supported. The chassis uses a magnesium alloy build measuring 23.5 millimeters thick and weighing 1.45 kilograms. Protection ratings meet IP66 water and dust standards alongside MIL STD 810H military durability certification for drop and vibration resistance.
Physical connectivity includes 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports, 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A port, and 1 2.5Gbps ethernet jack. Wireless networking covers Wi Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, with optional 4G LTE or 5G cellular modem upgrades. Modular add on bays allow technicians to install dual ethernet ports, a barcode scanner, a smart card reader, an RFID reader, or a legacy serial port to match specific industrial workflows.
