That time is now RedMagic has just announced that its newest gaming powerhouse, the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, will soon be unveiling itself internationally. For those not in China, this device will be known as the RedMagic Astra.
True to form, the company threw itself headfirst into the news and confirmed the global launch plans minutes after the tablet was unveiled in the home market. The trend continues as RedMagic names products differently in China compared with the rest of the world; that was the case with RedMagic Nova.
While information trickles in, RedMagic appears to have kept telling the specifications hint that the Astra will share some jaw-dropping core specifications with its Chinese twin, such as:
- The powerhouse Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
- An advanced ICE-X cooling system for during-the-game performance maintaining.
- A vivid 9.06-inch OLED display, which is rumored to have a buttery-smooth 165 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,600 nits.
With these features, the RedMagic Astra is shaping up to offer a top-tier gaming experience, positioning itself as a strong competitor to other notable tablets like the Legion Tab Gen 3 and even the iPad mini 7, which RedMagic has used as a benchmark in its comparisons.
Save the dates Yes, RedMagic has confirmed that the Astra is slated for release on July 1st, at exactly 1200 UTC. And if history is anything to go by from previous launches, when this date reaches, it will probably herald the opening of pre-orders for early access users that signed up on the official RedMagic website.
