Minisforum Changes N5 and N5 Pro NAS Data and Cost

Minisforum made updates to their new N5 and N5 Pro network-attached storage (NAS) items. These changes bring more base storage, new prices for most types, and a new ship date of September 15th. This update comes just about a month after they first showed these products.

Main Updates to the N5 and N5 Pro Items

The big change is in the make-up of the products. Here is a list of what is new:

  • More Base Storage: The base storage for both the N5 and N5 Pro has gone up from 64 GB to 128 GB.
  • Late Shipments: The ship date for all orders now moves to September 15th.
  • Price Changes: Most types now cost less, but one high-end type costs a bit more.

Updates for Each Type

Minisforum N5 (AMD Ryzen 7 255)

The normal N5 type can't be bought without extras anymore. The new starting set-up costs $645 (before any price cuts) and comes with 16 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

Minisforum N5 Pro (AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370)

The stronger N5 Pro, with a top Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU, has more detailed price changes:

  • Set without extras: Now $1,019, down from $1,039.
  • 48 GB RAM Set: Now $1,308, down from $1,311.
  • 96 GB RAM Set: Now $1,597, up from $1,583.

What Buyers Should Take Away

These changes mean a new deal for buyers. Even though shipping is delayed, buyers now get twice the base storage and mostly lower prices, mostly for the set without extras and the mid-tier N5 Pro. The only rise in price is for the 96 GB RAM set at the high end. Minisforum also offers a $30 cut with the code NAS30.
