World of Warcraft Midnight Unleashed on March 2026 with Early Housing Access in December

The release timeline for the forthcoming expansion of World of Warcraft Midnight was formally confirmed by Blizzard. The expansion will officially launch worldwide on March 2, 2026, at 3:00 pm PST, against the backdrop of players clashing with Xal'atath, the Harbinger, and the Void in this upcoming chapter.

Housing Early Access Starts December 2

Just in time for the full release, Blizzard is set to unleash a series of player housing features next week. The "The Warning Midnight Prologue" content update will maintain an early housing system accessible starting December 2.

Accessing housing features depends on ownership of the expansion:

  • Owners of Midnight: Players who have purchased any edition of the expansion will join a neighborhood, choose a house, and begin customizing right away from December 2.
  • Non-owners: Anyone who still has not bought Midnight can still join in by collecting housing items. Furniture and decorations can be obtained from vendor NPCs in-game, achievement rewards, and various activities around Azeroth.

This early access period will lead right into the full expansion, letting players set up their homes months in advance of the battle with Xal'atath themselves in 2026.
