Motorola Edge 70 Pro Launch Details Including 6500 mAh Battery Power Dimensity 8500 Performance and Pantone Branded Design Finishes
The Edge 70 Pro smartphone will be officially unveiled by Motorola on April 22 2026. The Indian version of the company operates its Flipkart store through which it has started showing its first product designs to customers before the official product launch. The Pro model of the device demonstrates a design that resembles the standard Edge 70 but its chassis design look better accommodates the additional power capacity of its battery system.
The Edge 70 Pro features its 6,500 mAh battery as the main component of the device's design. Motorola markets this product as a solution which provides users with two days of battery life and it supports 90 watt wired charging through USB C. The device employs its vapor chamber cooling system to achieve thermal balance during continuous operational periods. The hardware interfaces with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 4 nm chipset which operates using an octa core design to deliver both high speed and efficient processing power.
A 6.8 inch AMOLED panel serves as the display system that handles visual output. The marketing materials from Motorola highlight the display's extreme brightness capability which reaches 5,200 nits while the 144 Hz refresh rate delivers smooth motion display. The color palette for this launch includes three distinct Pantone branded finishes: Lily White with a marbleized texture, Tea, and Titan.
The device features three 50 megapixel sensors that provide its photo capabilities. The primary camera system uses Sony's LYT 710 sensor which has two additional lenses that include an ultra wide angle lens and a front facing selfie camera of matching resolution. Motorola will deliver three major Android 16 updates for the waterproof enclosure which includes five years of security updates.
