Japanese PC maker Galleria has released the NSC5L IG C4, an ultra lightweight laptop designed for portable daily computing. The machine combines a 12 core Intel Core Ultra 5 125U processor with a user replaceable M.2 storage slot, all packed into a body weighing just 0.99 kilograms. The notebook is currently on sale in Japan starting at $949.

The chassis weighs 0.99 kilograms, placing it below the 1 kilogram mark for mobile hardware. Up front, users get a 14 inch matte IPS panel with a 1920x1200 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The screen covers 95% of the sRGB color spectrum to assist with routine office work and content viewing.

Galleria runs the system on an Intel Core Ultra 5 125U processor featuring 12 cores. Integrated Intel graphics manage routine workloads and lightweight gaming. System memory comes as 16GB or 32GB of soldered LPDDR5 RAM that cannot be modified after purchase. Unlike the fixed memory, the internal M.2 SSD can be swapped by the user for larger drives up to 2TB.

Pricing in the Japanese market starts at $949 for the base tier equipped with 16GB RAM and a 500GB SSD. Upgrading the internal drive to 1TB with the same 16GB RAM raises the price to $1265. Global availability has not been announced.
