GMKtec has launched the NucBox G3 Ultra, a budget mini PC powered by the dual core Intel Pentium Gold 7505 processor. The compact machine brings 16GB of soldered memory, twin M.2 storage slots, and dual HDMI ports in a pocket sized frame. The system is available now starting at $269.99 for the 256GB base model.
The chassis measures 114 by 106 by 44 millimeters and supports standard VESA mounting brackets for monitor attachment. Cooling relies on 1 fan and 1 copper heat pipe, engineered to sustain a 15W thermal output from the Tiger Lake processor. System memory is fixed at 16GB of LPDDR4 3200, while internal storage expansion includes 2 separate M.2 2280 solid state drive slots. Wireless connectivity covers Wi Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 protocols.
Physical port placement covers both the front and rear panels. The front panel provides 2 USB A ports running at 10Gbps transfer speeds. The rear panel carries 1 USB A port at 10Gbps, 1 USB A port at 480Mbps, 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, 1 3.5mm audio jack, and 1 gigabit RJ45 ethernet port. The 2 HDMI outputs allow the machine to drive 2 external monitors at the same time.
GMKtec sells the NucBox G3 Ultra in 2 distinct storage tiers. The 256GB storage configuration costs $269.99, while the 512GB version sells for $299.99. Both packages include the same 16GB memory layout and preinstalled hardware components.
