HP has launched the OmniBook 3 16, a portable laptop featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon silicon and up to 20 hours of video playback. The system targets daily computing through an efficient platform that recharges to 50% in 45 minutes. The laptop is now available in the United States starting at $599 for the base configuration.
HP builds the OmniBook 3 16 around the Snapdragon C C1 10 100 processor. Memory configurations include 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, paired with 128GB of UFS storage or 256GB and 512GB solid state drives. A 3 cell 41 Wh battery powers the system, running for up to 20 hours during local 1080p video playback at 200 nits of screen brightness. Recharging brings the battery to roughly 50% in 45 minutes.
The 16 inch IPS display runs at 1920x1200 resolution with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 300 nits of brightness, and 62.5% sRGB color coverage. Buyers can also select an optional touch screen version. The full size keyboard includes an integrated numeric keypad, with backlighting available as a $20 upgrade option. Physical connections include 2 USB Type A ports split across both sides, alongside 2 USB Type C ports and an HDMI output on the left side.
Color options include Glacier Silver, Mica Silver, Starlit Blue, and Warm Gold. The entry model starts at $599, offering 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in Mica Silver. Moving to a 256GB solid state drive with 4GB of RAM raises the price to $699. The 8GB RAM configuration with 256GB of storage costs $769, with premium color selections adding $10 across standard tiers.
