HUAWEI FreeClip 2 Earphones Launch in Dual Color Editions with NPU Silicon

HUAWEI has introduced a color blocked edition of the FreeClip 2 open ear clip headphones. The updated model pairs custom silicon with an integrated NPU, alongside 10.8mm dual diaphragm acoustic drivers and NearLink wireless technology. Pre orders are currently open in China priced at 1299 yuan.

HUAWEI upgraded the internal processing with a third generation low power chip that includes a dedicated NPU, boosting AI computing performance by 10x. Sound output comes from a 10.8mm open dual diaphragm acoustic driver delivering 100% louder volume and double the low frequency power compared to the previous model. The hardware supports the L2HC audio codec with intelligent volume self adjustment and head tracking spatial audio that cuts delay by 40%. The firmware runs HarmonyOS AI services for spoken alerts and real time translation through the Celia voice assistant.

Each earbud contains a 60mAh battery delivering 9 hours of standalone music playback, extending to 38 hours when paired with the 537mAh charging case. A 10 minute quick charge restores 3 hours of playback. The physical construction combines skin friendly liquid silicone with shape memory metal that increases flexibility by 25%. Each earpiece weighs 5.1 grams and carries an IP57 rating against sweat and water. NearLink connectivity enables precise item tracking and low latency transmission across red and yellow, blue and yellow, or red and blue color combinations.
