MINISFORUM has launched the M2 Slim, a compact desktop powered by the 5 core Intel Core 3 processor 304 Wildcat Lake chip. The machine adopts soldered LPDDR5X 7467 memory and integrates onboard UFS 3.1 storage into a chassis weighing 0.44 kg. It serves as an updated alternative to the earlier M2 Air with a revised port layout and internal configuration.
MINISFORUM alters several key hardware choices compared to the M2 Air. The previous model used removable memory slots, but the M2 Slim relies entirely on soldered LPDDR5X 7467 memory. Storage expands to include onboard UFS 3.1 flash, while the single PCIe Gen4 M.2 SSD slot drops from 4 lanes down to 2 lanes. The chassis also drops 1 full speed 10Gbps USB C port to accommodate the revised board layout.
The chassis measures 112 by 112 by 37.15 millimeters. Wireless networking runs on an Intel AX211 card supporting Wi Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. Physical connectivity includes 2 separate 2.5GbE RJ45 ethernet jacks, 1 USB C 40Gbps port, 2 HDMI 2.0 outputs, and 1 microSD card reader.
