RedMagic has officially released a new 27 inch gaming monitor featuring a 5K IPS panel and Mini LED backlighting. The display offers dual mode operation, letting players switch between maximum resolution and higher refresh rates depending on the game. The monitor is currently available in China for $970, with international launch plans still unannounced.
The 27 inch IPS screen uses an advanced backlight array featuring 5184 individually controlled local dimming zones. This dense grid allows precise lighting control, delivering deep black levels and clean highlights without blooming. HDR peak brightness reaches 1400 nits, ensuring high contrast across demanding visual scenes.
RedMagic engineered the panel with 2 distinct operating modes. Players can run the display at native 5K resolution with a 180 Hz refresh rate for detail heavy titles, or switch to 1440p at 330 Hz for fast competitive shooters. This flexibility eliminates the need to choose between clarity and extreme frame rates.
The exterior uses an aluminum enclosure fitted with a wide RGB accent strip across the rear panel. In China, retail pricing is set at $970. RedMagic has not confirmed when the monitor will roll out to markets outside of China.
