The Redmi Turbo 5 series marks the introduction of Xiaomi's mid-range smartphone collection which will make its debut on January 29 2026. The standard Redmi Turbo 5 model will be released alongside the more advanced Redmi Turbo 5 Max model.

The series will present its strongest performance capabilities through its advanced model Redmi Turbo 5 Max. The company has shared essential information about the product's specifications and design elements.
Processor: The device will use a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor which belongs to the sub-flagship category of system-on-chip technology. The device features a substantial 9,000mAh battery together with 100W rapid charging capabilities. Xiaomi has introduced a new color option called "Sunshine Orange" which introduces a warm tone to their existing sky blue color selection.
Redmi Turbo 5 Standard Model Details
Xiaomi used the launch announcement to present the first visual of the basic Redmi Turbo 5. The Max model shares design elements with this product but certain design aspects create distinctive visual differences.
Processor: The device will operate using the Dimensity 8500 chipset. The design features a metal mid-frame together with a dual-camera back system which resembles the Max design but has a single flash instead of two flashes. The phone will probably have a smaller size than the Max model which will include a 6.59-inch display featuring side curves designed for easy grip. The camera specifications remain uncertain because the camera in question might use different sensors compared to the Max version.
Market Position and Pricing
Lu Weibing who serves as President of Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 5 series targets customers who want to purchase products priced at CNY 2,500 which equals about $360. The new product line establishes its market presence in the upper mid-range price category.
