AOC AGON and BOE Launch Native 1000Hz AGP257FT Gaming Monitor

AGON PRO AGP257FT World First 1000Hz Native Refresh Rate Display for Ultra High Speed Motion Performance and Advanced Eye Protection Technology

A new standard in display performance has been established by the co launch of the AGON PRO AGP257FT gaming monitor. The latest flagship model developed through the cooperation between professional gaming brand AOC AGON and display manufacturer BOE introduces the worlds first 1000Hz native refresh rate for consumer use. As the official launch was hosted by TPV and BOE, the display industry is officially entering into a new realm of ultra high speed motion performance for professional esports players and competitive enthusiasts.

The AGON PRO AGP257FT's hardware and design are engineered to support a native 1000Hz driver while displaying at 1920x1080 resolution. Where most displays achieve refresh rate upgrades through software interpolation (motion compensation), the monitor’s hardware can support true 1000Hz natively directly through the panel. In terms of eliminating motion blur during fast paced sequences, the monitor features a 0.2ms gray to gray response time combined with black light motion blur reduction technology to render racing games and first person shooter games clearly without motion trail.

The display features ADS PRO panel technology to produce consistent viewing angles over a large area and colors in accordance with sRGB (99%) and VESA Display HDR 400 standards. Color accuracy will come handy not only for competitive play, but for viewing other types of media on the monitor, catering to gamers who enjoy a wide range of gaming genres.

High refresh rate monitors can lead to significant fatigue during extended gameplay, however, this design aims to solve this problem by utilizing advanced optical engineering. The AGP257FT incorporates Aitong circular polarization technology which aims to replicate natural light diffusion, lessening the harshness from direct polar light that enters the eyes and reducing fatigue. Coupled with the certified low blue light output and flicker free backlighting on the display, healthy viewing experiences will be achievable without sacrificing the 1000Hz performance and color quality of the display.

Accompanying the product launch was a joint announcement from TPV and BOE to establish a joint innovation laboratory. The laboratory aims to harmonize TPV’s manufacturing and design efforts with the display panel manufacturing prowess of BOE to establish a continuous supply of new products including various eye care, esports monitors and other future display technologies.

The launch is also backed by the partnerships formed by chip manufacturer AMD and retail channel JD.com, expanding into the integrated hardware pipeline from silicon processing and manufacturing to retail distribution. By integrating graphics cards computing power with native 1000Hz display output, partners aim to ensure that the end user will receive a validated, high performance product capable of utilizing all of the performance the display hardware can produce.
