Valor Mortis Release Delayed to October Following Crowded Autumn Schedule

Valor Mortis Developers Delay Action Game To October 13 To Avoid Packed Autumn Release Calendar and Polish Experience

The team behind the upcoming action game Valor Mortis have announced a delay. Previously scheduled for a September 24 release date, it is now scheduled for an October 13 launch. Developers confirmed this in a statement to the community, stating that they are:

"hoping to give Valor Mortis and your wallet some room to breathe"

in an already crowded autumn release window, which threatens to swallow up smaller releases.

Valor Mortis Release Delayed to October Following Crowded Autumn Schedule

They have explained that their September 24 release date was determined weeks in advance during a Partner Showcase event, meaning the release was booked well ahead of time, and so could not be easily pushed back once other publishers were taking over the same dates in the calendar year. Rather than face it off against a packed calendar, they opted to wait for a more opportune date later in the year.

The extra weeks added to the development time for Valor Mortis will also be used to improve based on the players experience. A playable version of the game is currently available for download from Steam where, with direct interaction from players, the developers will take note of what needs improvement and make adjustments before the official October 13 release date.
