Akasa has introduced the Newton N16, a fanless passive cooling chassis engineered specifically for the Asus NUC 16 Pro mini PC. The all aluminum enclosure handles up to 28W TDP silently by converting the exterior metal body into a heat sink. It also integrates dedicated internal cooling for M.2 solid state drives alongside an extensive port array.
The chassis measures 188.6mm by 204mm by 53.6mm, giving it a total volume of 2.1 liters. Thick aluminum blocks make up the entire outer shell, using deep exterior fins to pull heat away from the board without mechanical fans. Silence is the primary goal here. Inside the case, Akasa added dedicated thermal pads and heat spreaders to keep M.2 solid state drives cool during sustained data transfers.
Front panel connectivity offers 1 USB C port running at 10Gbps and 2 USB A ports also capable of 10Gbps speeds. The rear side features precise cutouts designed for the Asus motherboard layout. Users get access to 2 USB C cutouts, 2 USB A cutouts, 2 RJ45 ethernet openings, and 1 serial COM port. Display outputs can be configured with either 2 HDMI or 2 DisplayPort connections to match different monitor hardware.
