Dell has launched the Dell 14S globally, an ultra thin laptop powered by Intel Wildcat Lake processors. The machine pairs a 1.15 kilogram aluminum chassis with screen choices reaching up to 120 Hz WQXGA resolutions. Pricing begins at $649 in the US for the entry model, with international rollouts underway across Canada, Europe, the UK, and Australia.
The aluminum alloy body measures 12.21 millimeters thick and features a hinge that opens flat to 180 degrees. Battery capacity sits at 61.2 Whr. Audio output relies on 2 speakers rated at 2W with Dolby Atmos support, paired with an optional 2MP infrared webcam for facial recognition. Physical connectivity includes 2 USB C 10Gbps ports, 1 HDMI 1.4 port, and 1 standard 3.5mm audio jack. Color choices include Flax White, Fog Rose Pink, Washed Denim Blue, and Velvet Green.
Dell equips the laptop with Intel 3rd Gen Core processors from the Wildcat Lake family. Buyers can choose between the Core 5 320 and the Core 7 350. The global entry model cuts costs by packing 8GB of single channel LPDDR5X 7467 memory and 256GB of PCIe Gen 3 storage. Higher tier configurations step up to 16GB of LPDDR5X 7467 RAM and 512GB of solid state storage. Screen options start at a 60 Hz WUXGA panel producing 300 nits and climb to a 120 Hz WQXGA display reaching 450 nits.
In the US, the entry configuration sells for $649, which is over 50% lower than the higher specification DS14260 variant. Regional pricing sets the machine at CAD 899.99 in Canada, £721.20 in the UK, €821 in Europe, and AUD 1271.60 in Australia. In China, where configurations include 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, the Core 5 model with the 60 Hz display costs 5099.15 yuan. Upgrading to the 120 Hz screen moves the price to 5439.15 yuan, while the Core 7 configuration with the 120 Hz panel reaches 6289.15 yuan.
