Electronic Arts has confirmed the revival of its Fight Night franchise after a 15 year absence from the sports simulation market. EA Sports revealed the project through a teaser image showing gloves above an empty ring alongside a message stating the fight never ends. However, the publisher has not shared a release window, target platforms, or an official title.

The boxing series has remained inactive since 2011, when Fight Night Champion launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. That entry stood out for including a dedicated story mode centered on boxer Andre Bishop. Following that release, EA shifted internal development resources toward mixed martial arts, spending over a decade focusing on the UFC franchise. Growing player demand for dedicated boxing mechanics appears to have pushed the publisher back into the ring.
Reports about a franchise reboot first surfaced in 2021 under the internal project name Moneyball. EA reportedly paused work on that title to prioritize the production of UFC 5, which shipped in 2023. The publisher has not clarified whether this new announcement continues the Moneyball production or starts fresh under a different framework. The lead development studio attached to the project also remains undisclosed.
