RATOC has launched the RS MR48EX, a professional multi storage management station that combines high speed card readers with dedicated drive bays. The device pairs dual card slots for formats like CFexpress Type B and UHS II SD with 2 separate 2.5 inch SSD bays. It retails in Japan starting at 138000 yen before tax (roughly $895 USD), with after tax pricing reaching 151800 yen (approximately $985 USD).
RATOC equips the unit with 2 primary memory card slots. The first slot handles UHS II SD cards and Panasonic microP2 media, while the second accepts CFexpress Type B and XQD cards. Storage expansion continues with 2 drive bays sized for 2.5 inch drives. The primary bay accepts either U.2 or SATA solid state drives, while the secondary bay supports standard SATA drives only.
Physical connections include 1 downstream USB C port operating at 10Gbps for external accessories. The unit draws power from an independent dedicated supply to maintain steady transfer speeds across all drives simultaneously. An integrated 75 centimeter USB C cable connects the station directly to the host computer for data transmission.
