REDMI has launched the Band 4, updating its budget fitness tracker with a smoother 60 Hz display and extended battery endurance. The wearable introduces a metallic finish chassis alongside a battery capable of lasting up to 21 days on a single charge. It is currently available in China for $25, though the spec sheet confirms the absence of NFC.
The device features a 1.47 inch display protected by 2.5D curved glass and backed by a 60 Hz refresh rate for fluid navigation. REDMI built the chassis with a unibody frame that mimics brushed metal, paired with an updated strap buckle mechanism. Water resistance reaches 5ATM, allowing the tracker to handle swimming and showering without issue.
Battery life reaches up to 21 days under light usage, which is an increase of 3 days over the previous model. Turning on continuous tracking drops battery longevity to about 8 days. The sensor array monitors heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, stress levels, sleep stages, and female health metrics. Athletes get access to 50 dedicated workout modes.
Software options include incoming message alerts, alarms, and a catalog of downloadable watch faces. In China, users can process offline payments using QR codes through WeChat Pay and Alipay. Hardware compromises include the complete lack of an NFC chip for contactless transit or payments. Pricing in China sits at $25, with global release plans still pending.
