AYANEO NEXT II Launched New Heavyweight in Windows Handhelds

On November 29, 2025, AYANEO officially presented its flagship offering-the AYANEO NEXT II. The company considers hugely advancing these new Windows handhelds in terms of performance, which is considered laptop-caliber performance, combined with a huge screen to set a new bar for high-end portable gaming.

Uniquely Large Display

First thing first, you can't miss the size of the NEXT II. AYANEO has custom-designed a 9.06-inch OLED panel for this device. But really, size matters not; visual fidelity is paramount. Landscape orientation of the panel is critical for older Uncle PC titles and it has a resolution of 2400×1504.

The refresh rate remains an important consideration for any gamer looking for smooth performance. The range is adjustable, going from 60Hz to 90Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, and the top limit being 165Hz. With brightness peaking at a whopping 1,100 nits and 5280Hz PWM dimming, this screen is ready to take on the spectrum from dark horror games to bright action shooters.

Performance The Strix Halo Era Has Arrived

And within is a monster of a NEXT II. It is one of the very first devices with the AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395 processor. The chip predicated on Zen 5 "Strix Halo" architecture, along with the RDNA 3.5 Radeon 8060S integrated GPU.

And what does this mean for the user This gives the device an upper limit of 85W TDP. In order to solve the massive power output, AYANEO has made a worthy choice by implementing a dual-fan cooling system with very high efficiency fins, giving you full confidence that the system will remain rock solid when it comes to both video rendering or playing heavy AAA titles.

Battery Life and Ergonomics

Typically, high performance chairs for battery life, but AYANEO is conspiring against this law of physics-forcing brute power. With an outrageous 115Wh battery, the NEXT II takes out almost every other competitor on the market, designed to keep that hungry 85W TDP chip alive for long gaming sessions.

Much to its credit, more ergonomic modifications have been placed on the whole affair, with large grips meant to carry comfortably in palm, allowing for extended play.

Pro Grade Controls and Inputs

AYANEO has carried its era of great and high-end input methods into the NEXT II. This controller setup is pretty darn robust.

  • Hall Effect Sensors Hall sensors eliminate drift and dead zones on joysticks and linear triggers.
  • Dual-Stage Triggers The return of this feature allows users to choose between linear analog pulls (great for racing) and instant micro-switch clicks (ideal for shooters).
  • Trackpads The device utilizes "TouchTAPMagic" dual smart touchpads to provide mouse-like control for strategy games and Windows navigation.
  • Extra Buttons Four geometrical rear buttons and four customizable function keys facilitate extensive macro mapping.

Software and Immersion

While the device is running on Windows, it uses the updated AYASpace software to manage your games, TDP settings, and fan curves. Immersion-wise, we have a new magnetic-levitation haptic motor co-developed with Guli Technology, while the front-facing stereo speakers are aimed directly at the player.
