ZTE has officially launched the Nubia NaviX Ultra, marketing the device as the first true AI agent smartphone. Built with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and ByteDance Doubao software, the phone handles cross application tasks through single voice commands. The device starts at 5999 yuan in China, which converts to approximately $840 USD.
ZTE structured the launch around 3 storage variants. The entry tier with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage costs 5999 yuan, or roughly $840 USD, with regional subsidies dropping that figure to 5499 yuan, about $770 USD. Stepping up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage brings the price to 6499 yuan, near $910 USD. The top tier model with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage retails for 7499 yuan, around $1050 USD. Buyers can pick from 4 colors including black, white, blue, and a dream pink finish.
Physical control sits at the center of the hardware layout. The phone features a dedicated orange AI button on the side that houses an integrated fingerprint scanner for rapid unlocking. Pressing the key connects directly to the Seed full duplex voice system. This allows users to interrupt the assistant naturally during speech just like a normal phone call. ZTE claims the microphone array delivers a 48% higher voice wake rate in noisy areas and a 21% improvement in sentence accuracy compared to rival flagships, supporting over 10 regional dialects.
The software on the NaviX Ultra acts as an autonomous agent rather than a passive assistant. It can carry out complex tasks across separate applications with an end to end completion rate above 80%. Users can book rides on Caocao Mobility, check calendars, or play music on Soda Music through 1 spoken command. Other tools include on screen product recognition with direct checkout links, automated phone call answering with custom replies, and Feishu integration for transcribing and summarizing audio recordings.
The front panel features a 6.78 inch LTPO 2.0 display made with Q10+ luminescent material. The screen supports adaptive refresh rates from 1 to 144Hz, peaks at 4500 nits of brightness, and covers 100% of the DCI P3 color space with 2160Hz PWM dimming. On the back, ZTE packed a 200 MP primary camera alongside a 50 MP ultra wide sensor and a 64 MP periscope telephoto lens with AI guided shooting tools.
Power is supplied by a massive 7100 mAh battery fitted inside a chassis that measures only 7.62 millimeters thick. Charging speeds reach 90W over a wire and 50W wirelessly. Heat is dispersed through a 7100 square millimeter vapor chamber cooling setup. The phone also adopts the SAEP security protocol to protect personal user data during cross app automation tasks.
