Hollow Knight Silksong Demo Set for Gamescom 2025
The long wait for Hollow Knight Silksong is almost over, as Team Cherry will let people play the game in a few weeks.
Play it at the Nintendo Booth
The big sequel will be up for trials at the Nintendo booth this year at Gamescom, held from August 20 to August 24 in Cologne, Germany. Visitors can also try out many other big games.

- Hades II
- Elden Ring Tarnished Edition
- Borderlands 4
- EA Sports FC 2026
- Donkey Kong Bananza (out now)
- Mario Kart World (out now)
- Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV (out now)
- Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition (out now)
Signs of a Soon Release
Having the demo at both Nintendo and Xbox booths is a clear sign the full game is close. This fits with past hints that the game would be out by the time ROG Xbox Ally handhelds are sold around the world, a date Team Cherry confirmed too.
Expect a Release Date Soon
Though a leaker said Silksong won’t be at the Nintendo Indie World Direct, a formal release date is likely this month. The Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19 is a perfect spot for what could be the year's big game news.
